Service and Leadership at Clemson University
Since arriving at Clemson, Erin has sought opportunities to learn about the whole university and its role in the community and state. A graduate of the President’s Leadership Institute (2018-19), Erin also served as Associate Chair of the English department from 2021 to 2024 and has served in many appointed and elected roles throughout the university as well. Her focus in university service has been on ways to improve the educational experience of students and to celebrate and promote the value of higher education. Her work at Clemson has helped her learn the importance of listening before claiming to understand and of looking for opportunities to collaborate and build together whenever possible.
